Evomat Cleaner leads to cost reduction

One year ago, an Evomat Cleaner was delivered to a British luxury automobile manufacturer in England. After commissioning the machine, the failures in the production process caused by dust particles could be reduced from approx. 16 000 incidents per 1000 vehicles to well under 600 cases. This, in turn, led to a substantial reduction in the costs caused by retouching works and interruptions in the production process. The company will be able to remove the retouching devices from the production line altogether in the future.
The cleaning effect of the Evomat machine is enhanced by a cleaning device installed to clean the conveyor belt. Blanks, some of which were waxed, led to dust-wax deposits at the conveyor belt. By cleaning this conveyor belt, the blanks were less contaminated, too.
The washing of the blanks was stopped. The company now wants to sell its old washing machine.
The success with the Wandres equipment at this plant started discussions at other car manufacturers as well.
